Description

Servo pump drives for hydraulic power supply are based on a constant flow pump driven by a servomotor. By varying the speed of the motor dynamically, pressure and flow rate can be precisely controlled. If there is no requirement for flow or pressure, the motor stops and consumes no energy.

Loire Gestamp's experience in hydraulic presses has been combined with these state-of-the-art components to create a new servo-hydraulic system that meets all the productivity requirements of the sheet metal drawing sector. They are efficient presses capable of obtaining energy savings of more than 50% compared to the same cycle in presses with servovalves.

Advantages

High energy efficiency

It allows significant energy savings, between 40-70% compared to conventional hydraulic presses, with lower electrical consumption and therefore, a lower environmental impact.

Less chance of breakdowns

By reducing the number of valves, the complexity of the system is reduced. This translates into a lower chance of breakdowns and more reliable, long-lasting operation.

Greater precision with intelligent control

The intelligent control of the servomotors allows the press to precisely follow the speed and force instructions during the work process. This allows the optimization of forming cycles and better synchronization with the feeding systems. Shorter cycle times.

Smaller volume oil tanks

By optimizing the energy consumed to that demanded by the part, the energy losses in the circuits are minimal, which means that the oil does not heat up and therefore the volumes of the tanks decrease considerably. The press requires a smaller amount of oil compared to conventional hydraulic presses.

Reduced usage and maintenance costs

Costs are lower in daily operation and long-term maintenance. 30% less maintenance is required compared to conventional hydraulic presses, achieving significant savings in resources and associated costs.

Sound level reduction

The noise level of presses with this technology is much lower than conventional presses. This improves working conditions, reducing exposure to noise in the press environment.

Productivity increase

With the points mentioned before, presses that use this technology see their productivity increased compared to presses with conventional hydraulics.
