Description
The characteristics (forces, table dimensions, etc.) of the cold stamping lines are variable depending on the type of parts to be manufactured. The following equipment can be supplied for each zone of the line:
- Loading zone or front of line (FOL): blank loading trolleys with magnets and last blank detectors, robots with automatic gripper change or feeders for blank destacking, double sheet detectors in grippers, blank washer/oiler, etc.
- Interpress area: automation by robot, feeders, etc.
- Presses: moving bolsters, cutting dampers, automatic die clamping, hoppers and hatches for scrap evacuation, etc.
- End-of-line area (EOL): robots or feeders, outfeed conveyor, parts autoracking, CCTV, etc.
The options to be incorporated are defined according to the lay out and the required cycle time.
This cold stamping technology makes it possible to manufacture from small reinforcement parts to large body parts, such as doors, sides or hoods. Loire Gestamp's cold stamping presses can operate in force ranges exceeding 2000 tons, allowing the stamping of high-strength parts.
